Bowls at Temple Fortune Club

We have a full size, well maintained green with a pavilion for the use of members. Bowls season is from mid April to September. We welcome new members whether new to the game or experienced bowlers.   Organised "roll ups"  are on Wednesday afternoons (2:15) and Sunday mornings (10:15), with smaller social groups playing on Tuesday mornings (10:30) and Friday evenings (5:00).  Inter club friendlies are arranged most Saturday afternoons where teams are selected from a list of members who indicate they would like to play.  These matches are followed by tea.  When there is no inter-club fixture on a Saturday afternoon we usually arrange an internal 'fun' competition, or rollup. Internal competitions are held on most bank holiday afternoons usually with tea to follow.

We hold a club competition evening mid March to give members a chance to catch up before the season starts and to enter the clubs internal competitions for the season. These are played throughout the summer ending with a finals weekend early September.  We are affiliated to national and county organisations and several members play in county competitions.
